Project Characteristics:
The food wastewater from Monin in Malaysia contains high levels of organic matter, suspended solids (SS), and chemical oxygen demand (COD). Water quality varies significantly and can foul membranes, making treatment difficult. The system uses the tubular UF membrane with strong fouling resistance to effectively remove colloids, large organic molecules, and suspended solids. High surface flow reduces clogging and extends membrane life. Online and regular chemical cleaning maintain stable flux. Treated effluent has less than 30 mg/L COD and 5 mg/L SS, meeting discharge limits under Malaysia's Environmental Quality Act.
