RO Pressure Vessel

An RO Pressure Vessel (also called a membrane housing) is the structural housing that contains one or more RO membrane elements, allowing pressurized feed water to flow through the membranes for the filtration/desalination process. It's a critical component of any reverse osmosis system, engineered to withstand high internal pressures while protecting the membrane elements inside.

Construction & Materials

Body Material: Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP), made by filament-winding glass fiber around a resin core, offering a high strength-to-weight ratio and excellent corrosion resistance.
End Caps: Typically made from FRP, ABS, or PVC, secured with V-band clamps, snap rings, or bolted flanges depending on the design.
Port Configuration: Available in side port or end port designs, side ports for easier plumbing/maintenance access and end ports for compact multi-vessel racks.
O-Rings & Seals: High-grade elastomer (EPDM/Viton) seals ensure leak-proof operation between membrane elements and vessel connections.
